Following raids by Thames Valley Police earlier this week, sixteen men have been charge with drug-related offences.

Thames Valley Police Officers were joined by the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit (SEROCU) and the National Crime Agencys (NCA) to execute warrants on Wednesday 3rd March. The majority of the addresses raided were in Reading, with other locations around the country.

All 16 men have been remanded in custody to appear in court today, 14 at Reading Magistrates’ Court and two at Sunderland Magistrates’ Court. Two other men have been released under investigation.

Matthew Barber, Deputy Police & Crime Commissioner for Thames Valley said, "This is a fantastic result for Thames Valley Police in partnership with law enforcement agencies across the country. Investigations such as this are extremely complex and time-consuming, and this tough action by the police should serve as a warning to others. Thames Valley Police's dedicated Stronghold teams are working hard to fight those who seek to import and distribute drugs on our streets."

If anyone has any information or suspicions about drug supply in their area, please make a report to Thames Valley Police by calling 101 or online.

Alternatively, if you would prefer to remain anonymous you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or online too.
