This year’s South and Vale business breakfast, on 20 February, is set to be another resounding success with the announcement of an excellent key note speaker.

Matt Wright, managing director of Hachette UK Distribution, is attending the popular event, being held at Harwell campus, to talk about his career path and Hachette’s new major development coming to Didcot.

The global publishing company is undergoing an ambitious project to join its two automated warehouses from Littlehampton and Milton Park to one state-of-the-art facility in Didcot.

Matt Wright, who has been managing director for six years said, “I’m excited to give a talk about my career experiences and details of the decision-making process, timescales and support we’ve received for the plans to build our new headquarters in Didcot.”

Matthew Barber, Leader of Vale of White Horse District Council and Mark Stone, Chief Executive of South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse District Council will update on the councils’ activities and the economic development team’s work to provide support to local businesses.

Matthew Barber said, “We are delighted that Matt is talking about the investment Hachette is putting into the local area - securing more jobs opportunities for those living and working near the Science Vale.”

The South and Vale business breakfast is a free of charge for local business representatives and interested parties, with typically over 150 people attending to network and hear from local and national business leaders.

Taking place at Satellite Application Catapult on 20 February, attendees can enjoy a complimentary light breakfast starting at 7.30am with speakers starting at 8am.  For more details and to book a free place visit www.vale4business.com or www.sobusiness.co.uk
