Brown's silence over the Lokerbie bomber is inconsistent as well as cowardly

Today Gordon Brown was final forced to comment on the release of the Lockerbie bomber, but he failed to support or condemn the actual decision to release him. Instead Brown is hiding behind devolution. He claims that he cannot comment on the decision of the Scottish Government. There can be no logic in his position that he cannot offer an opinion on the actions of a public body in a territory where he is Prime Minister, yet he is happy to condemn the celebrations held by Libya, and independent sovereign state. For a man who has written a book on courage this is unbelievably cowardly.
