Don’t forget – Bank Holiday bin collection changes
Householders are being reminded by Vale of White Horse District Council of changes to their bin collections during the week following August Bank Holiday Monday.
There will be no bin collections on Bank Holiday Monday 28 August. Everyone’s bins will then be collected one day later than usual.
This includes households who normally have their bins emptied on Friday – crews will be working on Saturday 2 September to catch up.
In Vale of White Horse, this is a grey bin and food waste bin collection week.
Cllr Charlotte Dickson, Cabinet Member with responsibility for waste, said: “Residents are reminded of the changes, which have been previously circulated along with waste and recycling collections calendars for the whole of 2017-18. We’d like to thank everyone for their co-operation and also thank our residents for their great efforts in recycling.”
Residents are also informed that there will be no bulky waste collections on Saturday 2 September due to the Bank Holiday schedule.
