Tonight I am honoured to have been elected as Leader of the Conservatives onthe Vale of White Horse District Council. I would like to pay tribute toMelinda Tilley, the outgoing Leader, who has worked so hard for the Partyover the years. I hope to bring a new emphasis to the Conservative Group,campaigning for local people within the Vale to ensure the current failingLib Dem administration is exposed and defeated in the next round of localelections. With the support of my colleagues I hope to enlarge our appeal and lead the Conservatives to victory for the benefit of all of the people we represent.
