Businesses across South Oxfordshire and the Vale of White Horse are being asked to feed into and influence a new strategy that will support growth and economic development.

The new Business and Innovation Strategy will enable South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse district councils to determine what measures can be put in place to help local businesses prosper.

To ensure the new strategy meets the needs of organisations throughout both districts the councils are asking businesses what their current and future priorities are, what they consider to be the key barriers to growth, and what support the district councils and their partners could provide to help them achieve their growth ambitions.

To ensure their views are heard businesses should complete this online survey.  The consultation closes on 14 October 2016.

For more information about the new Business and Innovation Strategy, or about the survey, please contact Suzanne Malcolm, Economic Development Manager at South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse District Councils on 01235 422217 or email [email protected] .

Cllr Robert Simister, Cabinet Member for Economic Development at South Oxfordshire District Council, said: “We want members of the business community across South and Vale to let us know the issues they are currently facing and their priorities over the coming years.  This will help us determine where our focus should be in terms of providing support going forward.”

Cllr Michael Murray, Cabinet Member for Economic Development at Vale of White Horse District Council, said: “It’s important that we hear from as many people as possible from across the business community, from smaller home based businesses to our larger businesses.  We want to ensure the views of all business sectors operating here are taking into account and are reflected in the new strategy.”
