Community groups in the Vale of White Horse looking to stage local festivals or events can claim up to £1,000 grant funding - but they need to apply by Wednesday 1 March.
Vale of White Horse District Council which offers grants to non-profit community organisations, still has funds available to support local festivals and events taking place over the next 12 months. The funding can cover up to 75 per cent of the total cost of staging festivals open to the local community.

Cllr Elaine Ware, Cabinet Member for Grants at Vale of White Horse District Council, said: “Staging an event in your town or village can bring the whole community together and help to attract more visitors to the area. We helped to fund some great events last year but there’s still funding available for 2017. If you are looking to hold a festival make sure you get your application in before 1 March.”
